I've got some cheap one, "Motorola", standard little thing given to pracically every "Alltel" customer. No programmable, but just re-do the ROM Smile. OR get an iPhone.

ah, these new fangled gadgets....Nope, don't use them...Who would I call?
Smile
even worse:
who would call me?
Confused
There is a popular television program, "24", in which a spy runs around killing people right and left, interesting part of the program to me, was observing how many times the writers depended on a cell phone to provide explanations, clarity, and decision making. Same role, theatrically, as had been provided, in Shakespeare's time, by the narrator.

Nokia 3230.
Have been using that since 2005, and pretty satisfied.
Now looking forward for a PDA/pocket PC Laughing

I have been using a basic Nokia phone since early 2001. I still get 5+ days on one charge with the original battery. It's now 7 years old and still in perfect condition. Cheap and reliable, not one of the expensive and fragile things you find these days.

currently i am using a 1110, and to be very frank, this cheap nokia really better than his expensive brothers, been accidentally drop it to floor more than 10 times and still solid function Smile

drop = from > 1.5 meters to floor Wink

Stick with your current phone, it seems to be robust and reliable so no need to change. I intend to stick with my dinosaur of a phone until either the networks disable 2G, it gets stolen, I lose it, or it dies. Only those four things will get me to change and my guess is that the 2G thing will be the eventual deciding motive when I can no longer use it.

lately, i saw this,
Motorola A1200i or RAXOR E6
which is linux openezx based (sort of smartphone).

and some people already ported the android into it..... seems like fast way instead of waiting the HTC G1 phone to hit malaysia.

i tried query amazon and 214.99 USD.... seems like good price.

The last motorola phones are very slow compared with their Nokias or SonyEricsson similars.
I mean: z6, w5, v8, a1200 (these are some kind linux based). They take a good time to Start or responde to keypres in the menu. The Symbian nokias take a good time to start up too, but they responde much more quicker.
The touchscreen thing is not so greate, and it´s a little bit hard to write a sms if you are walking, the touchscreen querty keys are to small.

A Good thing in this phones is how they filter the light in the camera, if you shoot a photo with a dark and light side, the light seems normal. In other phones like nokia or sony, the photo gets too light or to dark.

I prefare sony ericsson phones just becouse I like to listen mp3.

this could be like a heaven for phone lover.
http://www.zzzphone.com/index.php

they let you customized your phone, like adding the tv, more bold speaker, wifi, GPS and a lot... customized color & logo.

looks cool and the base price is < $200.

the latest version of it can run android... cool, i am seriously consider to buy one from them, but their website could kinda turn off people desire & trust.

some company should follow this concept like making customized laptop for users.
