First of all.. This is extremely exciting stuff!!! Only wish I had come across it earlier! I have scrambled through a handful of programming languages: (small projects: little games, utilities, etc)[c++, VB, python, etc]

Can the kind people here please direct me to the most USER FRIENDLY guide to beginning ASM? I read a bit through some tutorials and followed along through the first couple chapters of "KETMAN MAXIMASTER" until it got .... reallly... confusing lol.. Maybe I'm taking my learning too fast, but this OS is simply too exciting. I mean, has a full ASM OS ever been made before? Very good idea.

OK now some questions for the community so I get the vibe and spirit of the project.

1. Is the main goal of MenuetOS speed, or portability [I would think that speed would be it...]?

2. Is this a movement towards an entire open source kickass OS with its own HD mounting, fanbase (lol), etc? [like linux.... but KICKASS!]?

Thanks for any pointers or links and feedback on this project...

[I love programming, so this seemed like the place to go ^_^]

Jojodi Very Happy

OK sorry about the newb assembly question.. I'm learning now ^_^

But I'm still interested what the community mainly wants out of FASM so that I can help get it there and beyond.
