Sure. vid already gave an outline here:
http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=7066
So, now we have the three ingredients:
the locale with its charm, ambience, tradition, and name, representing the anglosaxon equivalent of vid's topic;
the topic-->reproduction mechanisms;
the audience--> future FASM'ers, who should appear, if vid's homework is done well, in fifteen years or so....

Umm, well, no, but, I have a very limited amount of imagination. So, I rounded up this photo, which I believe to be representative of the most important attractions:

Well, you can go see the Fucking city hall (Fucking Burghoff).
You can visit the Fucking Mayor
Stay at a Fucking Hotel
Drink some Fucking Bier
Best of all, attend the Fucking fasm technical discussion (I can see the t-shirts now ... "I survived the Fucking fasm conference")

What else??

But, seriously this time, perhaps it's highest time to make some plans for this year's meeting? I recall that the last time we were thinking about Finland as an interesting place. What do you think?

Yes, surely, and I for one, would enjoy not only Finland, but also nearby Estonia and Kaliningrad. However, realistically, somewhere in Central Europe is superior to Glasgow, Venice, Athens, Toledo or Helsinki, notwithstanding the great attractions of those other locations. I guess Prague or Berlin would be the logical choices, if the conference will not return to Poland. Kiev would be attractive, not only for its historical, cultural and touristic attractions, but because there are LOTS of Russian Assembly language programmers, some of whom could attend a conference in "nearby" Ukraine, if 5000 kilometers can be considered nearby. The most important feature is the ability to hook up a computer to pipe the conference live to those who cannot attend.

I am not sure that "thinking" best describes my aspirations when reflecting upon the advantages of attending the FASM technical conference:

Perhaps the statue she grasps with her right hand more closely resembles my "thoughts" at the moment....

There is a nice cultural celebration in Helskinki late August. Food, music, festival, and fasm. Would August 23 - 26th in Helsinki work for the fasm conference? Can interested members get there that week?

Bitte, nich so schnell, as the first post says Smile
Before choosing the best location we need to know first who is seriously going to join the meeting. Last time, it was Tomasz, HyperVista (US), Madis731 (Estonia), vid (Slovakia), Ender2101 (Poland) and me.

So guys, any of you? Smile Madis? f0dder? Shoorick? Dex4u? revolution? Reverend? scientica? MCD? okasvi? The Grey Beast? bogdanontanu? Tommy? zhak? Garthower? DustWolf? Others?

EDIT: and yes, I like August for the meeting as well, wherever it will be.

I agree with MazeGen. If we can get a list of fasm members who commit to participate, we can plot their home locations on a map and find the most logical center point (excluding the out of norm data points, such as those in the Americas, for fear of the center point being somewhere in the Atlantic near Great Britain Very Happy ).
