format & reinstall? and use FAT32 for C drive
D drive NTFS and store all personal & config files there.

just idea.

  • Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore
  • try reinstalling or upgrading Flash, etc.
  • search for Registry tweakers

Use NTFS for your system drive, unless you want to get corruption from even minor problems...

And yeah, either reinstall windows from scratch, or try doing a "repair install". And do remember "chkdsk /f" on all your partitions.

CACLS is useful indeed, but it's for files and not the registry... and you need to be very careful and read the options thoroughly before you mess with CACLS Smile
