Thank GOD !

After almost 2 months of system break-down, my PC is now finally
able to boot and run properly.

So, the first thing I did was to improve my F15teen Square Puzzle.

Here's for all of you a better version than previous.
It has more features than the earlier one.

And believe me that it's only going to get better!!!

Welcome back! Smile

BTW, haven't tried it, but here's what I read recently:

Quote:

2.2 Works well GUI

    Puzzle "15 squares"
  • By ssp written in FASM, 10 KiB executable
  • HX 2.12 needed
  • Tester: Japheth, NTOSKRNL_VXE

EDIT: Seems to also need MSVCRT.DLL (not included w/ HX, comes? w/ Win OSes).

Hi edfed!
I wrote this game in fasm because it's my brother's choice. Otherwise I will
write it in C or Java. Also the sliding effect given in the game is suggested
by him. I am keen to upgrade it more and more and quickly.
The slow speed of sliding was choosen because it gives an smooth feeling.
I will soon provide an version with capability of changing it's sliding delta at
run time. But now I have very much work load so, it can take 2-3 days to
make this game better.

Till then (try to) change it yourself, if needed.

YES. Missed the point: I didn't neglect the "new" version, just pointed that
it was the "old" one working well in DOS Wink

Hi Everyone!
I have replaced the older and slower version with the newer one.
It has sliding speed configuration.
So it's no longer slow.

Is the absence of an x button intentional?

Hi kohlrak!

I intentionally not implemented an x button.
Without an x button it looks more cool to me.
You can use ESCAPE instead to quit the game. Infect in most of games ESCAPE is a standard button to quit.

If you really missing an x button then i will implement it for you.

I do not, but i think you might want to document the F1, ESC, and right click shortcuts if you distribute it outside of these forums, to anyone that's not used to using alt-f4 and such, they may not know how to exit other than using task manager, assuming they know that. But if you don't distribute it other places, then it's no problem.
