can hide windows off the screen and taskbar to show at any later time.

version 1 has now been released which has fixed all the reported bugs.

made using FASM 1.65.17, available at http://hidewnd.sf.net

This could be useful to create multiple virtual desktops a functionality only found in Unix natively.

There is a power toy for XP that can do that too I guess but it's only available for XP pro.

The CreateDesktop() API function in Windows creates multiples desktops in Windows natively.

Filter, I have Win XP Home SP2, and it seems to work for me.

I remember that it was XP Pro to begin with. I went back and read the part you quoted after I made that post. I didn't realize that it had changed.
