Hello, I am new to the forum and I have a quick question.

I am designing a new programming language / compiler in C++ and C#
Now, when this programming language is finished, I expect it to follow a basic set of commands...

Code -> Parse to Assembly -> Assemble

I can do the first two parts, but I do not have my own assembler and I dont want to make my own, so I was curious if I have permission to include the FASM assembler with my program if it gets distributed? (If I did, I would give credit)

I highly doubt that I will have anyone pay money for this, let alone it even making it public. Its just a little challenge for my self.
But I was just making sure, just incase.

Thanks

I'm not the author so I can't give you permission (although I'm sure you can use it already, Tomasz will), but it sounds an interesting project.

Don't forget to inform us if you do make it. Smile

FyerEgg: The best way to be sure is to ask a permission from Thomasz directly.
U can use the board's internal mail.

1. The BSD license does allow this.

2. PureBASIC uses FASM already (but doesn't work, heh, at least for me).

@Borsuc: Thanks, I'll be sure to post it if it ever gets finished and working

@Mac2004: I'll check it out

@DOS386: Ah ok then, thank you. I haven't seen PureBASIC before, but I'm sure it was just made by an amatuer programming fanatic... Which is totally different from me Wink
