im having trouble including files in my application, i use the following code:

directory RT_RCDATA,files
resource files,500,LANG_ENGLISH+SUBLANG_DEFAULT,picfile
fileres    picfile , 'top.gif'

i get the error "illegal instruction" for the line "fileres picfile,'top.gif'".
any suggestion to why this is happening?

There is no longer a "fileres" macro (which was undocumented anyway), you should use the "resdata" macro combined with "file" directive, see http://flatassembler.net/docs.php?article=win32#1.6

Or, for the quick solution:
