if i create a shortcut to FASMW.EXE by right clicking in explorer and choosing "Create shortcut" then place this in the start menu.
now i run it.
open one of the samples, like "hello.asm"
press F9 to compile and it works fine, the box appears "win32 assembly is great"

now, if you double click the EXE in explorer, or modify the registry to allow ASM files to be automatically opened in FASMW

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.asm\shell\Open in FASMW\command\
default value = "C:\Program Files\fasmw162\FASMW.EXE" "%1"
with all the quotes !

it opens correctly in FASMW but pressing F9 says "cant find include file"

i have set INCLUDE to the fasm include dir, and FASMINC to the same dir, because i read somewhere about FASMINC.

if you double click the EXE in explorer then File->Open hello.asm, it still cant din the include file when compiling.

windows xp sp 2 if it helps

A question: it doesn't work with this in fasmw.ini?

I don't know exactly how you have setted your INCLUDE but if it's not a full path maybe the problem is FASMW use as INCLUDE directory something like "CurrentDirectory\include".

I'm using FASM on Windows 98 and works fine with Include setted in FASMW.ini
