Hello Comrades!

THOS is my operating system for small digital systems based mainly on 8-bit CPUs. First version has been written in AVR assembler and is developed from maybe 20 years. For that reason it is highly optimized code (I am constantly in shock that after years I can still optimize code by few bytes ).
First real THOS was implemented for HF-6030 http://hf8v.atwebpages.com/hf/hf6030.htm (HF-6048 was test system and was discontinued) and later for other systems.

Minimum system requirements for THOS are ROM 8KB, RAM 1KB and buzzer as output device. As a Amaterur Radio radiotelegraphist I can 'copy' all output from system on telegraphy. Using some standards codes and HEX digits it really works!

There are currently three versions:

THOS-1 for systems with RAM 1KB
THOS-2 for systems with RAM higher than 1KB
THOS-3 other systems with RAM below 1KB (where RAM must be connected externally)

Basic components of THOS are:

- THAVR Interpreter, compilator and decompilator
- THFS File System
- THN Communication Network
- Possibility of connecting up to 8 DRIVES (memories)
- Input/Outut Channels: 4 INPUT_DEVICES and 4 OUTPUT_DEVICES
- Vector Functions Table: 256 (THOS-2: two tables, one for user and one for THAVR)
- RAM Manager (THOS-2 only)
- Optional threads
- Various working modes: System Mode, Microcontroller Mode, THAVR Boot Mode
- ERROR_DEVICE: standard set of errors and signals

I'm planning to run THOS on many small and 'exotic' CPUs, because I have a lot of old digital systems (mainly external constructions and rarely my own constructions) which can be modified. In many cases is it 'retro' electronics, but I like it. 1980s and 1990s CPUs are very simple and you don't need to learn whole books about their hardware...

I'm not real CPU collector but from some point of time I'm just not throughing to trash some useless CPUs like 4-bit and ROM only and I'm trying to find informations about these chips (if you can help with some difficult to find info it can be very nice). Some CPUs are 'secret' and very difficult to find any information on that, but maybe somebody tried to reverse engineering code, etc...
