Thistle uses FASM as a backend.
It's developed in Liberty BASIC.
Has anyone here heard of it?
There was a Windows and a DOS version.

I have had a copy of the Windows version for many years an have used it in some small projects including this game called Win War available here on my website http://basicgames.xyz/index.php?page=article&id=7

For some reason, I never tried the DOS version and now am regretting it. Now that I am working on my own DOS compiler, Thistle is no longer available. The website only has broken links.

Thistle produces very small exes. The game I linked to above is a 28kb exe.

There is a recent capture in the wayback machine:

The Thistle language, compiler and integrated development environment are copyright 2005, Thomas Watson and Alyce Watson.
I also see a board post from Alyce Watson saying it's difficult to provide support, in 2019.

Crying or Very sad Maybe, this is related?
