Actually I miss tom tobias very much. The following is his "last" post:

https://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?p=177181#177181

His posts are almost always well-written and insightful, from which I have learned a lot.

Hope that he is still "up and running"!

Yeah, me too. It's been more than 2 years already since his last post, wow! :/

These forums have been running for the past 13 years. THAT is a whole lot of time. People lose interest in things (including hobbies). They marry and have kids; they change jobs; their responsibilities increase. As time goes by, some grow more and more tired of things. Some go to jail. Some are incapacitated mentally or physically. Some voluntarily decide to go M.I.A. and start from scratch. And yeah, some eventually die - for real. C'est la vie!

RIP all those who have left us, in cyberspace and in meatspace.

Actually, the message board has been up and running for over 14 years given that T.G. joined the board on 16 Jun 2003.

I visit the forum often but i do not participate actively in discussions due to difficulty with the English language.

This year i reorganized my free time. I do little programming and much more exercise (basketball, soccer, running, cycling).

νους υγιής εν σώματι υγιεί (sana in corpore sano)

plus that i am married, i have kids, i changed job, i might go to jail, responsibilities increase, anything but dead Razz

@Picnic:

Which of the following phrases is the better translation?

"a healthy mind in a healthy body"

or

"an intricate balance between body and mind"

I think it says that for the mind to be healthy, the body must also be healthy. It's about balance.

So, it is the underlying message that matters. Google Translate still can't beat a reasonably-good human translator (yet)!

I browsed through the list of members and it's a sad thing to see that many talents are no longer active.

Exactly. So, from now on, you, instead of mocking other forum members, should shoulder the responsibility of helping them. Grow up, please.
