Upstream router dying, I don't think they have replaced it as yet so might be another round or two in the coming days. On it in any case Smile

The same or similar may be happening again.
I use these lines in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file
Code:
208.99.203.253 board.flatassembler.net
208.99.203.253 flatassembler.net
which I'll comment with # when resolved.
It happened at forum.osdev.org
Code:
#173.255.206.39 forum.osdev.org
which has obviously been resolve and is commented until it happens again.

That is a DNS resolver issue. It may be a problem with your local ISP. You could try testing with another resolver.

Some that are easy to type:
1.1.1.1
8.8.8.8
9.9.9.9

There are thousands of resolvers around so if you don't like those just use any other one. Usually picking one that is close to you gives more speedy results.

But also note that your local router, or your ISP's downstream router, may capture all DNS queries and not allow you to get to other external resolvers. Just something to consider in case that affects you. DoH might save you there.

I forgot about that.
Actually I was using 1.1.1.1.
I changed it back to auto and now it is fine.
