That seems unfair. The computer should run on the same amount of energy that 세돌 is running on - that is, a couple of bowls of 비빔밥 and some 소주. Smile

Maybe you are correct about it being unfair, but Lee accepted the challenge so clearly he thought it was fair. Or, at least, he thought the money Google are paying him was enough to ignore the unfairness.

They will play all five games regardless of the outcome. That was decided before they started.

the world, the society, the people hardly practice fairness values,
giant enterprises eating small companies all the time.
corporate bullies, gangsters, arm robbers, bastard politicians,
threat, bribe, advertisement psycho in movies, songs, religions, etc

i hope alphago replace bastard human with another kind of new human. Laughing Laughing

DeepMind Technologies's goal is to "solve intelligence",[25] which they are trying to achieve by combining "the best techniques from machine learning and systems neuroscience to build powerful general-purpose learning algorithms".[25] They are trying to formalize intelligence[26] in order to not only implement it into machines, but also understand the human brain, as Demis Hassabis explains:

As opposed to other AIs, such as IBM's Deep Blue or Watson, which were developed for a pre-defined purpose and only function within its scope, DeepMind claims that their system is not pre-programmed: it learns from experience, using only raw pixels as data input.

soon machine will hire human to do stuffs and learn from them,

I predict that Alphago will evolve and eventually become the real-life equivalent of the Red Queen in a decade or two.

Hope that I am wrong. Confused

Lee Sedol is playing brilliantly! #AlphaGo thought it was doing well, but got confused on move 87. We are in trouble now...

Mistake was on move 79, but #AlphaGo only came to that realisation on around move 87

Gneural Network is the GNU package which implements a programmable neural network. In the current release, version 0.0.1, it is a very simple feedforward network which can learn very simple tasks such as curve fitting, but we plan to deliver more advanced features very soon. In particular, we are already spending efforts to implement a network of LSTM (long short term memory) neurons for recurrent networks and deep learning. We also plan to implement learning reinforcement techniques.
