Wow, so much misinformation (or maybe it is disinformation) available from the Internet. Some say is, other say isn't. What is the "real" answer?

the real answer is what is more likely. it is far more likely that the Earth is a big ball of wet dirt. there is quite a bit of evidence to support the idea, and direct observation of it. having been in quite a few planes and doing so having seen the curve of the Earth, and having actually gone around the planet and ended up back where I started... I am fairly certain that the Earth is a ball of wet dirt. as for the moon landing, what is more likely? is it more likely that NASA faked a bunch of footage and moon rocks, or is it more likely that some people went to the moon? noting that this fake would have been done multiple times, and knowing that satellites circling the moon have photographed the remains of NASA's moon visit... I think it is far more likely that NASA took people to the moon. this isn't hard...

121,000 feet equal 36km,

you can't see curvature at 36km but seeing it at 23.6km? Laughing Laughing Laughing

sleepsleep, if the Earth and other celestial objects are not spheres, why are there moon phases? what is gravity and why would it not force objects into spherical shapes? what is the Earth?

hi ford,

i am open to any idea, including earth is a spinning sphere ball,
but i don't want photoshop earth, which change its colors from year to year,

and how high an object (camera without fish eye lens) need to go up before it could see curvature?

the moon is sphere or sphere like, and position of sun decide the shape we could see,

and gravity probably doesn't exists,

anything which is heavier will go down, which doesn't require gravity to explain, afaik,
anything which is lighter will go up,

consider the power of gravity, capable to hold the vast ocean, but lose to magnet that pull up used thin metal staple, something is definitely not right,

there is probably no gravity,

idk what is earth actually, i been staying on for years, but hardly know what is earth,

If the Earth is not a sphere, and Antarctica is not a continent... Then please explain with human science the day and night times in different parts of the year there.

Heavier than what? Lighter than what?

Heavier things tend to sink (relative to other things) to "the bottom", yes. But what makes them sink? And what defines "the bottom"? The answer to both is gravity.

Anyhow, gravity is a well known thing. Measured easily in a laboratory. You can't simply discount it with words that say "down" or "up" without saying what defines "down" and what defines "up".

That is a well-known fact. The Earth is an oblate spheroid.

Actually, it is the overall density that matters. For example, steel is obviously "heavier" than water. Yet, a container ship floats in water.

thanks revolution, i saw such picture before,
was expecting lots of satellites, eg, those that orbit moon, those that orbit earth,

Quote:
This definition makes our count much less because it includes only spacecraft and not debris that orbits the Earth. The Goddard Space Flight Center's lists 2,271 satellites currently in orbit. Russia has the most satellites currently in orbit, with 1,324 satellites, followed by the U.S. with 658.

maybe they are too tiny, or i maybe i have high expectation huge traffic moving in front of bright moon? Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed
