Hello, I changed FASM to Casm Assembler and create a forum and website. But I can not open them because you did not get permission. I also did not post the version Casm Assembler on some sites. Because you would not allow me to date. I'm just afraid that you're angry and you submit me to the court. Please allow me to post Casm on internet. Here is the latest version of the file: http://casmfiles.moy.su/setupcasm.rar. Waiting for permission. Sincerely, Michael Podivilov, 13 years.

Witam, zmieniłem Assembler Casm stworzyć forum i strony internetowej. Oto najnowsza wersja pliku: http://casmfiles.moy.su/setupcasm.rar. Czekając na pozwolenie. Z poważaniem, Michał Podivilov, 13 lat.

well, a better version is always a good thing,
idk how you gonna divide who copyright which part of code, and which part of code is yours.

that would be total confusing,

because we dont know how many changes we would consider fasm is no longer fasm, but is casm?

and we know nobody got time to check what modifications have been made? 1 line, 100 lines, 1000 lines, or more?

of course, i fully support anything that strive to be better version.
maybe you need to be really particular about the license part,

MIHIP: what's the point? What makes Casm "better"?

You've basically added some Russian text, renamed FASM references to CASM, removed the .PDF, and added your own copyright - but what else? Why do you feel you need to repackage FASM rather than submitting ideas+code to Tomasz? (OK, iirc he's not been very willing to integrate code from other people in the past, but still...)

MIHIP,

Read again then.

P.S. Are there any copies of "setupcasm.rar" available anywhere?

baldr: remove the suffix dot from the URL and it downloads just fine. I ran the installer in a VM and moved the files over to my real box, just in case.

I'm currently doing a not-too-thorough comparison of the SOURCE folder of fasmw17101.zip and CASM - it doesn't seem to be the exact same version CASM was based off, so it's not a direct way to tell what MIHIP has changed (and directory layout is somewhat different)... but so far one thing I've noticed is that Tomasz' copyright statements seem to have been systematically removed from the source files.

f0dder,

At its core it's identical to 1.71.07 (without proper credits, indeed Wink). Dupes are abundant, though.

Humm, there's some "real" differences between the fasmw17101 version I have and the CASM version, apart from directory structure - but Tomasz has the habit of doing silent minor updates without changing version numbers, and the changes I saw did look more like that, than a modified version.
(edit: oh, you said 07, not 01 - I'm tired and preoccupied with eating dinner Very Happy)

MIHIP: we've all made mistakes, and you're young so you probably don't know any better. But so far, it seems that what you're doing is... pretty wrong Smile

maybe MIHIP can explain why s/he wants to hurt fasm in such a way?

idk how s/he thinks, maybe by removing tomasz string from all sources, the arts will automatically change owner?

are you going to take an oil painting, take a dry brush and brush it a few times, then claim you are the painter who paint it?

if you are 13, i think your dad need to know about this,

And Santa! Cause Santa does not supply presents for copyright violators. Especially in case of open source software copyrights.
