phpBB 2.0.6 released by psoTFX
04 Aug 2003
phpBB Group are pleased to announce the release of phpBB 2.0.6 the "phew, it's way to hot to be furry" Edition. This release had been made to fix a number of potential security related issues and more annoying bugs. Work continues on 2.2.0 and again we do not plan on further releases of 2.0.x except where critical issues arise.

Our forum won't be upgraded to any new version, because I've made many changes to its source code in the way to get the new vBulletin-like style working like I wanted.

Privalov, have you change something to the board in the last couple of hours?

I am getting the following error in Opera browser:
Quote:
phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database

At first I think your server was down, but then I do something that I want to avoid in any case: run M$-explorer and here I am...

[EDIT]
I have tested with Mozilla Firebird and the board is on !!
[/EDIT]

There are sometimes some problems with MySQL server, it's not my fault. Also, I can't monitor this forum all the time right now, because I'm on holiday, and I have access to internet rather ocassionally...

I'm using firebird at the moment, but I dont think it really makes a difference to what Privalov mentioned, if it really is a DB problem.
