Which came first? (Chicken or Egg)
Hey, let's start a debate. Post your answer and reason. Here's mine.

They both came first because the Chicken laid the egg. (Intercourse)

The egg got laid by the chicken and the egg gave birth to another chicken.

The chicken came from another Egg which came from another chicken which also came from another egg which finally came from a THE chicken.

WFT ???? It doesn't make any sense... Well atleast that was my argument..... Better than none.

What do you say? Very Happy

In nature, living things evolve through changes in their DNA. In an animal like a chicken, DNA from a male sperm cell and a female ovum meet and combine to form a zygote -- the first cell of a new baby chicken. This first cell divides innumerable times to form all of the cells of the complete animal. In any animal, every cell contains exactly the same DNA, and that DNA comes from the zygote.

Chickens evolved from non-chickens through small changes caused by the mixing of male and female DNA or by mutations to the DNA that produced the zygote. These changes and mutations only have an effect at the point where a new zygote is created. That is, two non-chickens mated and the DNA in their new zygote contained the mutation(s) that produced the first true chicken. That one zygote cell divided to produce the first true chicken.

Prior to that first true chicken zygote, there were only non-chickens. The zygote cell is the only place where DNA mutations could produce a new animal, and the zygote cell is housed in the chicken's egg. So, the egg must have come first.

Obviously the egg. Dinosaurs were laying eggs long before birds evolved from them.

You are safe with "God", it is only a title which can be applied to any monotheistic god. And the actual commandment says "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD[YHWH] your God [mark the distinction], for the LORD[YHWH] will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name". So unless Coty was without guilt so far, he wouldn't make things any worse, anyway.

BTW, Jews were so much willing to stay on the safe side, that when they were reading this, they substituted Lord instead of their God's name, probably being afraid that reading his name from Scripture might be "misusing" too. That's also why most translations today have Lord instead of YHWH or Yahweh or Jehova.

God damn, now I said Jehova! And now I said it again!... Wink

To my understanding of the context "Thou shalt not use the name of the Lord thy God in vain" would to use it as such:

Quote:
Yeah or "god" will rain fire upon us Rolling Eyes

The way I used it I did not intend for it to be used in vain but instead as a typical american would say "I wanted a fuckin' soda pop, so I got a fuckin' soda pop."

As I understand it in vain is to say something as if it had no real value at all, such as

Quote:
ohhh yeeaah you can get aaalloot with that penny. Rolling Eyes

A week example but yeah... In the USA a penny has like almost no value at all... So it works...

====================================

Actually Vid, in the Bible God said that Only he knows his real name, and even the Angles in Heaven only call him 'Lord' as they them selfs do not know... Or something like this, I think its in the book of Revelation...

Not really, I believe God is awesome enough to forgive my sins (as it says in the Bible). But I'll never knowingly use His name in vain. As for my location and signature, It is simply a reference to me being in what high level coders call hell since I code 99% of everything in assembly language and they think ASM sucks so bad. Wink

Oh... and yes, I am an AC/DC fan.

Dinosaur came first. Cool

So, the real question is: Which came first the dinosaur or the egg? Wink
