vi is much simpler than, say, Emacs, but very powerful. I don't have all the commands memorized, so I keep a vi command chart handy. But to implement all the vi commands in 512 bytes would be too hard, so I'll probably only do some of them, or maybe I'll make a line editor like ed.

As for the game, it probably won't be anything special. I might make something like Snakes, as that is a game close to my heart, or something completely new. I might even make something in text mode, maybe a roguelike... I've never written a game before, so this will be a new experience. But since I have only 512 bytes, even if I come up with a bunch of crap, I won't care since it's not intended to be a real game.
