Sometimes "boxes" (didn't know how to call them) on forum are shown without the right edge, just like on the attached screen. I use Mozilla FireFox v1.0.3

It might be a bug in Firefox. At least http://validator.w3.org/ tells the page is correct and IE and Opera display it correctly.

I have v1.0.3 too (2005-04-14) and everything seems to be fine.

Opera has problem too. Long code inserts doesn`t scroll, even doesn`t have vertical scroll bar.

I am using FireFox v1.0.3 too, and it shows the same bug.

Interestingly, it seems that this bug occurs only in
Code:

but not in

flaith: I also happened to see this bug with Firefox - it usually disappears (or changes) after refreshing, so it's also most likely some browser bug.

veach1: Are you using some old version of Opera? I've been browsing this forum with 7.54 and now with 8.0 and never met such problem.

YONG: Yes, for some reason this happens only when "overflow: auto" CSS attribute is used for DIV, and it's used only by "Code" boxes.

This could be a bug in the Gecko code (the part that renders the page, which isn't really firefox but an project of it's own, which firefox uses). Try with mozilla and/or netscape and see if the same render error remains. (I've seen this render error in many versions of firefox). But as long as the code is valid by w3c standards it's just to wait untill Gecko is fixed (myabe check for a bug report and sumbit if this hasn't been reported).
