bitRAKE
When one is labeled has having a particular trait, this incurs a cost of expression counter to that trait. For example, if we say "bitRAKE is blue" and we are all in agreement. Some future observation of bitRAKE has recorded red. We are temped to dismiss this anomaly because we "know" bitRAKE is blue.
(Although, I've used myself in this example, I can assure you I am not blue nor red, lol.) Now imagine these traits are a more complex thing. It is possible the cost is too great and one will never achieve an observation to the contrary by the mere abstract nature of the label which has focused our perception. We should be very careful to not rob people of their humanity. Analogous to the way we rob animals of their life: it is a dumb animal, it is an unfeeling animal, etc. All these things have been proven incorrect. If we are honest, we should identify our motivations: these animals were raised for slaughter, I like meat, meat is cheap where I live, etc. I can imagine a dystopian future where humans flourish as the last animals on the planet - a hierarchy of human cattle. Every insect and parasite has evolved to feed on humans - the most abundant resource on the planet. Did I hit anything anyone was thinking about? I hope not. |

seeing people suffered, causing people suffer, and found pleasure in doing so,
vs seeing perceived bad people suffered, causing perceived bad people suffered, and found these bad people finally served with their karma, felt justified for for they got what they preached, Affected justice, legal system, law, everything, |
