Unfriended Dark Web

A thriller/suspense/horror movie. Presented in its entirety as a computer desktop screen view.

The plot is engaging and moves very well with enough plot twists to keep the viewer guessing.

I recommend that if you do watch this then watch in high resolution and wear your best spectacles/contacts. There is a lot of small writing that is important to read to be able to fully appreciate the story. So if for example you find a low resolution torrent, or you are too far away from the screen, you'll probably end up feeling you missed some of the story.

Reading the reviews on IMDB would suggest that people either love it or hate it. Not much middle ground there.

Seems like a whole new playground for the filmmaking industry. Supernatural terror from inside the social media. It make sense. Smile

Mark down more or less similar movies Unfriended, #Horror, Friend Request, Bedeviled and others i cannot remember now.

Yeah, "Unfriended" had a supernatural theme and it didn't fit well IMO. But the follow-up one here "... Dark Web" was more grounded. No supernaturalism required. Of course the normal suspension of disbelief is required to make it work. Certainly some of the technical details were incorrect. But if you don't try to analyse too deeply it works okay. Also the suspense played out well without needing any of the usual annoying cheap blurry fast camera tricks used by most horror movies.

A found footage thriller told from the point of view of a computer screen.
