I have started adapting the HTML of this forum to a bit more modern style of code that the rest of the website has been using for years. Some of the things may look a little bit different than they used to. Please let me know if you encounter any serious problems.

A modern HTML/CSS options should in theory allow to greatly simplify the convoluted code of this message board, but this is not a pleasant work. Wink

For me I don't worry about the look as long as it works.

HTML/CSS changes are okay. Making it dependant on JS ... that would be a tragedy.

My plan is more about removing things than adding new ones, so do not worry about new JS suddenly appearing.

The markup of this forum really could use a good clean-up, it has many quirks like tables embedded in tables for the sole purpose of making a border (this is a relic of pre-CSS days).

I have to get used of those bigger gaps. I get this feeling that everything looks smaller now. Smile

It should be OK after a hard refresh. I'm slowly moving more and more stuff to the CSS.

I mourn the loss of subject display for topic replies.

I can only see it when placing the mouse over the post. Sad

I added a subject to this post. Can you see it?
