If you're look for GCC 7.2 for Windows, check out this site.
Quote: This web page provides Fortran, C and C++ for Windows for download. Equation Solution build the compilers from GCC. gFortran, gcc and g++ are high performance compilers, and absolutely free under General Public License. Binaries distributed at this site are a variant of GCC. Distributions of Equation Solution have indepentent settings. The major change is the library to support parallel processing has been replaced. http://www.equation.com/servlet/equation.cmd?fa=fortran |

The original author doesn't, I guess someone else took over since it's open source.

DOS was the first to be supported since I was the most familiar with its simple executable formats and system calls. Then within 3 years followed in sequence Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, each of which required some learning (about the relevant executable format and system calls (and Mac is pretty bad here in terms of low level documentation (Apple removed a lot of it from the website))) and, of course, writing the needed code. On top of that I'd never owned a Mac, so there was some fun with just using one. |

Apple is just bad. It's like using the C/C++ 'volatile' qualifier on the entire platform.
