World Migratory Bird Day
Today (May 10, 2017) is World Migratory Bird Day.

Refer to:
http://www.worldmigratorybirdday.org/

When stories like the following can still be heard from time to time, we really need to do more to protect wild life.

Diseases and Flus also fly that way. Wildlife don't need protections. What we need is to protect ourselves from our own greed and ignorance. Btw, I dont' trust any of these 'world of something' organizations. If you look closer, these movements are politically and financially motivated.

Let the birds fly wherever the wind take them to because they been doing that just fine since the last millenia. Men have more serious problems to attend to.

Well said!

All those NGOs dedicated to environmental protection are wasting time and resources on useless endeavors. They should focus on "the more serious problems" that system error is talking about.

Birds don't need doctors when they got sick. We do. For that, we need to educate some people to become ones. But long before that we need to setup schools and colleges. We need funding. labs and materials. We need scholarships, student loans, books etc. Birds don't need all those stuff. They can navigate their ways without launching satellites for GPS / GPRS applications for navigations long before any human being was even born. So, why do we care about migrating birds, again? The only thing that may destroy birds population is our own greed and ignorance. So rather than worrying about migrating birds, we are better off worry about our greedy systems and launch world-anti-greed-day . org instead.

Birds don't need doctors when they get sick because they just die. Humans also don't need doctors unless you want to extend their lives for a bit linger. There is no difference except that humans are more vain and selfish and think they deserve more.

Exactly! That's why we need such a "world day" to remind us that lots of work still need to be done.

In fact, the second link in my thread-starting post shows that birds not only need but also seek veterinarian services:

Better say: Birds are descendants of dinosaurs.
